Trump Orders Treasury Secretary to Stop Minting Pennies

To cut down on wasteful government expenditure, President Trump said on Sunday night that he has directed the Treasury secretary to cease creating new pennies.

In a post on Truth Social, he stated, "Let's rip the waste out of our great nation's budget, even if it's a penny at a time." He called it wasteful to produce pennies, which "literally cost us more than 2 cents" apiece.
