Grand Theft Auto VI's release date is when? Important information on the release date

In a statement made public this week, representatives from the gaming corporation confirmed that fans of the "Grand Theft Auto" franchise will be able to play the highly anticipated newest iteration of the series later this year.

As per the video game news site IGN, Rockstar Games mentioned a fall 2025 release for "Grand Theft Auto VI" in its most recent earnings report.  The journal was informed by Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Rockstar's parent firm Take-Two, that he and fellow company officials "feel really good about" the estimate, but he did not want to jinx anything.

As stated on the Grand Theft Auto 6 website, the game is "the biggest, most immersive evolution of the Grand Theft Auto series yet."  Leonida is a made-up state where the action unfolds; it seems to be modeled like Florida and is home to Vice City and Vice Beach.

The Grand Theft Auto VI game will be playable on the Xbox One X and PlayStation 5.  It will be the first major installment in the series since 2013's "Grand Theft Auto V" when it comes out.

The release window for GTA VI has already been revealed, and Zelnick's announcement confirms that.  It had been over a decade since the release of Grand Theft Auto V, and many in the gaming community had grown anxious due to delays and lack of news.

The first "Grand Theft Auto" game debuted in 1997 for PlayStation and Windows PCs.  Seven major games and seventeen additional installments make up Grand Theft Auto.  In 2021, the series concluded with a remastered trilogy of "GTA III," "Vice City," and "San Andreas," the last games in the series to be released.

In December 2023, gamers showed their anticipation for Grand Theft Auto 6 by posting the game's debut trailer on YouTubeAccording to Forbes, the 90-second short broke records for both trailer launches and non-music videos, with over 93 million views in the first 24 hours.
