A truck crashed through a building used by an after-school camp in Illinois, killing three little girls and a teenager and injuring six other children.
The vehicle struck many individuals outside a facility used by the YNOT After School Camp, then went through it, hitting others before exiting on the opposite side.
The county coroner named the victims on Tuesday as Ainsley Johnson, 8, Kathryn Corley, 7, Alma Buhnerkempe, 7, and Rylee Britton, 18.
The driver of the vehicle, 44-year-old Chatham resident Marianne Akers, was recognized by Illinois State Police, and the incident "does not appear to be a targeted attack".
Police said the incident was still being investigated, and Ms Akers had not been arrested.
Police said they arrived at the location about 15:30 local time (21:30 BST) on Monday. Three of the dead females were struck by the vehicle outside the building, while one was hit inside.
CBS, the BBC's US partner, reported that police from neighboring Illinois jurisdictions responded to the scene to secure the area and assist victims and parents in locating their children.
The footage released online appeared to reveal major holes in the building. Traffic near the location was also halted.
Six children were injured and sent to the hospital by ambulance and helicopter, with one of the victims still in critical condition on Tuesday.
According to police, Ms Akers was not injured and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
